From a commissioned couples photo shoot. I jokingly suggested we go outside and do some shots among the leaves and bare trees, thinking she would say no due to the cold. But she was more than game and we came away with some fantastic shots of her.
What a perfect walkabout find at the Fair! A beautiful African American woman was standing at a food booth and there was that ‘gotta stop moment’ when all the world fell into perfect harmony.
This was an instant favorite of mine before I even looked at the results a few moments later. It couldn’t have been set up in a studio any better.
This was my view as I opened my eyes one Saturday morning in 2006. I lived in my long moved out daughter’s white wicker bedroom since my father was given my downstairs bedroom when he moved in in September of 2005.
I loved the high contrast and cool air of that scene and I immediately woke up and got my camera and crawled back into bed to get the shot.
